Secrets of Speaking and Presentation Skills for the Engineering and Technology Workforce
Course Description
This course is designed to improve the presentation and professional speaking skills for those in the engineering and technology workforce. Techniques are taught to improve the structure and flow of presentations, and focus on giving you the right technique to clearly present the points you are trying to get across to your audience. Topics will include how to use your presentation as a marketing tool, how to create a dynamic conclusion, and structuring the presentation for your target audience. You can learn the skills of the speaking business from one of the most connected professionals in the world, Bill Johnson. These entertaining and educational sessions will include video clips of top speakers for a “real world” look at some of the skills you will learn. You will have the opportunity to do your own practice speech for the video camera as a take home learning tool.
The instructor also offers a 30-minute coaching session via telephone for the participant's next speech or presentation.
