Project Dashboards
Description
Organizations have used dashboards or stoplight charts for years
to quickly display the status of projects to project stakeholders and
management. A well-constructed dashboard gives a quick, visual way to know the
“health” of your project and focus on the areas needing attention. The idea is
simple but powerful. Key metric results are represented graphically, with red,
yellow, and green stoplight style indicators. In addition, dashboards can be
constructed to manage several projects at a glance, minimizing time spent in
project reviews.
The morning session include exercises for selecting the best metrics for each
phase of the project. During the afternoon session, students will construct
their own dashboard using simple traditional desktop tools and key
implementation tips provided.
