Reliable Temperature Measurement Using Thermocouples
Description
Temperature measurement and control has always played a major role in modern industry. This is true for process control or component development and test, where the single most commonly used temperature measurement device is the thermocouple. The thermocouple is versatile, cost-effective, and easy to use. This course will cover basic theory behind the operation of the thermocouple, types of installations, setup for test, and data acquisition. A proper understanding of the background and installation theory will result in more accurate and better measurements. This course offers technicians and engineers the opportunity to become familiar with this versatile sensor and learn its proper application.
Objectives
- This is the "Back-to-Basics" presentation of thermocouple theory
- The workbook is a useable reference that covers common types of thermocouples
- The course focuses on application of the thermocouples to real-world situations
