Software Requirements Engineering
Description
One of the most critical phases of a software project is the requirements phase. Incomplete, incorrect or ambiguous requirements often lead to late and over budget projects as well as customer dissatisfaction. The effective elicitation and documentation of customer requirements involves the application of good requirements engineering techniques.
This one-day course provides a hands-on presentation of practical software requirements engineering techniques. Considerable time is spent on examples and exercises designed to build confidence in applying the requirements techniques. This course emphasizes requirements elicitation techniques that are applied early in the requirements analysis process. The techniques are a first step in producing an object-oriented requirements document or a more traditional functional requirements specification document.
