Vibration Measurement
Description
This course is part of a series that leads to a JACMET Engineering Instrumentation Certificate.
The course will cover:- The fundamentals of vibratory motion
- Time and frequency domains for signal representation including decibel and logarithmic scales
- Common accelerometer construction and specifications
- Accelerometer mechanical & electrical installation issues
- Laser vibrometer
This course includes demonstrations and sample accelerometers.
Objectives
The objective is to enable technicians and engineers to understand the nature of vibration, and to select and install transducers to accurately measure vibration.
Intended Audience
- Anyone who has to understand and measure vibration.
Where and When
- The course is taught for 2 half-days (8 hours total) in a classroom.
- Note: You must attend all 8 hours.
